Punkin

I dyed some yarn for a pumpkin hat I'm knitting for a trade ... the color turned-out PERFECT, but the darn yarn is taking so long to dry! Hopefully it'll finish drying tomorrow so I can start knitting it!

Progress on the Cascading Leaves continues ... I'm a little more than halfway through the foot portion.

Yet More Progress...

DH and I have been watching "Gandhi" while I knit...

Cascading Leaves Progress

I'm done with the pattern repeats and am almost done with the heel flap. I am loving how this yarn is knitting-up - nice and thick, but still sock weight. These are going to be really comfy!

Tryin to do these colors some justice...

Well, I haven't gotten much further on my Cascading Leaves socks - had a BIG SCARY EXAM yesterday and that pretty much preempted any attempts to knit. But, I did take advantage of this beautiful fall sunshine to try and get a better pic of how this yarn is knitting up :
It would have turned-out better if a) my cat weren't occupying the greater portion of the back of the couch and b) my camera didn't suck when the flash is off. *shrug*
See what I mean?

I have the house ALL TO MYSELF!! I'm going to go sit quietly and knit. Ahhhh...

Cascading Leaves

Here is my most recent project - Cascading Leaves. Sorry about the nasty pic, I'm tired and don't care. The socks are great though, and I got the yarn off a swap with an MDC Mama! :D! Too bad in this pic you can't see the nifty colorway - light greens and purples. Very nice. I have finished 2 repeats of the leaf pattern.

Pattern can be found in the yahoogroup TownsendsockKAL.

FO - Tessah's Dress

Done right in time! I just need to pick-up four little buttons tomorrow during lunch and sew them on real quick and it'll be TOTALLY done. It's so cute, the pic really doesn't do it justice, but I'm no photographer. :) Can't wait to give it to little Tessah.

On another note, this is how DS wears my circle shrug :

Down to the Wire

Tessah's birthday party is tomorrow and this is where we're at : !

The top piece is the front ... the back looks larger because it is. GAH! One piece was blocked and one hasn't yet! I think I will try steam blocking later to see if I can get the front smoothed-out and stretched a bit like the back is (back was wet-blocked). I have to work 6am-2pm and the party's at 3pm! Yikes! Wish me luck.

The Back's Done!

I finished the back of Tessah's dress! It looks great. I will probably block it while I knit the front piece. After I finally got the lace repeat down, I had no more trouble! I am glad I stuck it out - in the beginning I was ready to toss the project all together. My stubbornness is really paying off lately.

Here's a shot of the lace detail:

The party's the 16th. I'm hoping I'll have time to do a little matching headband in the same lace pattern.
