Mittens!

I have so much holiday knitting to do! But, I have one more final to take before I can really seriously get into the holiday knitting. I've been (SLOWLY) working on mittens for DS' daycare teachers - so far only one is done! :( I am using yarn from handpaintedyarn.com in bulky. The colors are lovely! Unfortunately the picture quality sucks...my usual digi bit the dust, and I'm alas reduced to using this weird *keychain* digi cam.

Oh Crap.

My twin sister's gift keeps getting stalled! That Lang Tosca is pretty on the skein, pretty in sis's Panta - damn bitch to knit with! I tried three, no FOUR, different scarf patterns - none of them suited it. Ick. Before that I started knitting her a pair of socks, they weren't working out either. It just has to be RIGHT. I THINK I finally settled on Hedera from knitty, but good lord, let's not jinx it.

DH's socks are slooooowly coming along. I swear I'm going to get at least some heel done before bed tonight.

Off to find patterns for DS' vest and teddy bear.

I'm so behind!!!!

MANY WIPs and some yarn porn...

Ah, first the yarn from 100purewool - pretty, no? Darn well should be - it took almost a month to get here. I like it though. The stuff on the left is destined for a project for my MIL, the one on the right was supposed to be for me, but with holiday knitting and all it may get gifted.

DH's socks...BFF socks, which have been taking forever and are supposed to be done Dec 10, in time for his birthday. *sigh* It's hard to do cabling justice with dark yarn - can ya see the product of all my hard work in those teeny tiny cables?

This is the rest of the yarn destined for projects before the holidays...the brown Lamb's Pride is going to be a teddy bear for DS, the blue Lamb's Pride will be a cabled sweater vest for DS, the sock yarn in the middle I have 50 more grams of and probably won't do much with until after the holidays, and the pink/purple on the right is going to be a scarf for my sis. :)
