Dishcloth

Inspired by this thread at MDC, I knitted-up a dishcloth today. I really dug the pattern ... good pick-me-up after my Anthropologie Capelet fiasco (not mentioned here ... let's just say DON'T MESS WITH GAUGE!).

I'm now working on a new AnthroCap...this time with the right yarn AND the right needles. Yay.

RAWWWWRRRR!

Meet Bronty! He's a present for DS' easter basket. Isn't he adorable? He's not perfect ... but my seaming sucks, and besides - nobody's perfect! Bronty is no exception. He sure is cute though.

I used the xtreme knitting pattern found here. Good lord do I wish it were in the round. This guy was knitted flat and then stuffed and seamed (which took me forever, I hate seaming). I really wanted to do Mr. Stegs, but I don't know if I can handle all that seaming again...

Another Egg...

Made another egg today! This pattern is kinda fun (except for the increases, which are a huge pain).

All the dinosaur parts are knitted, just working on the seaming now. Should be done this evening if DS lets me. :)

Eggie!

Look at that! My first Easter egg! Another project for DS' basket...start to finish it took about 45 minutes. The increases were NOT fun, but the rest was. The yarn is Fisherman's which I dyed myself. :)

Here's today's progress on the Bronty! Just the head/neck left.

Dinosaur

I cast this little guy on this morning - knitting the brontosaurus pattern from xtreme knitting. This is the body and tail ... it's all knit flat which will be a royal PITA when I finish knitting. The pattern is toooooo cute though. DS will totally dig it when he sees it in his Easter basket. :)

Ripple Shawl Progress

Here she is! Finally I found a pattern I can pick up and put down (and pick up...and put down ... and pick up...). It's a very simple 4-row repeat and I am lovin it. Being in nursing school and having the little guy doesn't leave me much time to knit, and when I am able to knit I'm not always able to have total concentration.

Here it is pinned down with a 3-hole punch and a medical dictionary.

Small Victory

This is the beginning of the shawl, held up to the light so you can make out the pattern.

I am finally making progress on this shawl, and I finally don't feel like I have a major frogging looming over my head. After I frogged the Ella pattern for the 6th time halfway through the 2nd section (that's alotta knittin, kitten), I lost all confidence in myself, all sanity, and found THE SIMPLEST lace-esque pattern I could find
right here baby. I know it looks hokey on those models, but if you use something other than Lion Brand Grandma yarn it actually looks very sophisticated. This is being knit-up in Peru DK Luxury - a merino/silk/alpaca blend. Just the thing for the Mother-in-Law. If only I could tell her when I finished how much trouble I went through to try and get something done for her. But, alas ... I don't speak Turkish.

One special side note ... I think our digi cam officially died! I took these pics using DH's webcam. A little creative lighting and you can get a decent pic.
